The decision was not driven by a technical problem or limitation with Drupal. It came down to how I want to spend my limited time and budget.

Tabuccino - the Chrome browser plugin that keeps your tabs refreshed

I was getting tired of being logged out constantly of certain services and have to get my phone out to 2FA dozens of times per day. Some services have a very low lifetime and it interrupts my workflow. If you're like me and that gets annoying - this plugin is for you.

Bruno, a great new API client for development

For many years, Postman was a tool of choice for me when testing APIs while in development. It was a quick way to construct HTTP requests of any type and probe responses, test auth, things of that nature. It made quick work of figuring out how to design consumers, client wrappers and objects in Drupal to work with data structures from APIs.

However over the years Postman took some odd turns that makes it largely unusable for me, especially on Linux. The experience is clunky and awkward, and always requires signing in and several steps just to get to a point to start testing.

15 Years of Drupal

I did not intend to go many months between posts, but life has been very busy!

I am on the go all the time this year but here's some quick run downs of whats going on.

I attended Drupalcon, the annual conference on all things Drupal, last April. It took place in Portland, Oregon. I have been attending these conferences since 2009 and can say that this was one of the best ones I can remember.

Leaving Apple and Moving to Linux

After 11 years I have decided to leave the Apple ecosystem for doing development work and move to a dedicated Linux environment.

Back in 2009, I leapt from Windows to Mac after being disgusted with the availability of development tools on Windows as it pertains to open source development. I was the first to do so in the company and was an Apple devotee ever since, owning a half dozen Macbook Pros in that time.

So why change?
